Now in case you haven't heard, One Gospel recently awarded the best TV channel of the year at the annual African Music Gospel Awards held in London.. We would like to take this opportunity and thank each and every one who voted. We are who we are because of you.
We would also like to congratulate Rev Solly Mahlangu for walking away with the artist of the year award. Also Pastor Benjamin Dube and Jabu Hlungwane for walking away with the Lifetime Achievement Award and the 'Best Contribution to the Promotion of African Gospel Music respectively'.
Moving right along, don't forget that there will be new changes as of next week Monday. Refresh moves to Mondays at 19:00 while 'My Absolute Favorite' moves from 21:00 to 20:00. And to all 'In Concert With' fans you will be delighted to know that In Concert With makes a return with a brand new season on Mondays at 21:00. First week sees Ndumiso Mahlangu... yes The 2012 Shine winner! She proves again why she was worthy of the crown. You can also look forward to performances by Redeemed, Ambani and Rabba Swagga.
As you might have seen on the previous article, all request shows are moving to an 20:00 slot! this means that I Just Wanna Praise, Playlist top 10, My Top 10 and I Just Wanna Praise 2 will now be on 20:00 slot. And now you might be wondering why we are moving all these shows, brace yourselves, we have brand new shows coming your way.
On Tuesdays you can look forward to a brand new show called 'Angles'. Now this is a documentary series that will be discussing thought-provoking issues from weaves to responsibility. This is one show you do not want to miss.
Another new show making its way on the channel is My Top 10. Slightly different from the My Top 10 that you know, Each week a viewer from the African continent shares their top 10 gospel songs on this countdown. A brand new show called 'Heart-to-Heart' debuts on Friday the 03rd of August 2012. Now, you might be wondering what the show is all about, well in this show International and local Gospel artists share their hearts with us. We learn some new facts about them and get to know them better and play their biggest hits. First episode few features Cindy Cruise Ratcliff, Sho Baraka and Jake Hamilton just to mention a few International names.
